Founded in 2008, Synapse Support Services specializes in Computer aided surgery systems for Neurosurgery, ENT and Spinal Applications. We support stereotatic systems for biopsy and functional procedures for both the Elekta Leksell and the Radionics CRW systems. The Synapse Staff has been trained by the manufacturer to provide service and applications support to allow you to effectively make use of your surgical equipment.   This means that you can focus more on providing excellent care, and less on the bottom line. We are not tied to any large medical corporation. We provide effective care that is responsive to the needs of the health care community.

Definition of Synapse

Synapse: The point of connection usually between two nerve cells. Specifically, a synapse is a specialized junction at which a nerve cell (a neuron) communicates with a target cell. The neuron releases a chemical transmitter (a neurotransmitter) that diffuses across a small gap and activates specific specialized sites called receptors situated on the target cell. The target cell may be another neuron, or a specialized region of a muscle cell or a secretory cell (a cell than can make and secrete a substance). Neurons can also communicate through direct electrical connections (electrical synapses).
